He angitūtanga: The opportunity


Reporting to the Head of Planning and Projects and the wider security team, the security support analyst's role is to provide organisational visibility of the current level of safety across the organisation, including security risks impacting TAU venues. You will coordinate the planned preventative maintenance and reactive works programme with our vendor(s) in support of the Head of Planning and Projects, as well as support the departmental administration tasks and become the ‘champion’ of the TAU administration and invoice apps.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process all security invoices to keep accurate records and analyse trends.
  • Provide an elevated level of support to the management team including meeting organisation, reports, minutes, recordings, and agendas.
  • Follow up on all invoices and analyse to highlight any gaps in service /works and analyse incidents happening across TAU venues.
  • Coordinate the access card process end to end for all new staff and event-related persons.
  • Coordinate the purchase order process for general items, event security, manned, guarding, and planned preventative and reactive work tickets to a closed date.
  • Conduct open-source research through the AU OSINT platform to identify changes/threats/analyses in the international and national security environment relevant to TAU and to show trends/data through regular reports.
  • Analyse and forecast trends for the TAU venues and city area. Ensure this is reported effectively.

Ideally, you will hold a tertiary qualification in business or equivalent and have five years of experience coordinating a busy management team.


You will also display the following:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good experience with Microsoft Office products including Teams.
  • Ability to work/learn various management platforms including Ungerboeck.
  • Be process-driven with strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
  • Effectively manage multiple demanding priorities and self-motivate with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to research and provide written feedback on a given topic to support the management team.
  • Have a high level of organisation and analytical skills and can plan and prioritise work effectively.
  • Ability to listen build relationships and communicate effectively to a range of functions both internally and externally of the department.
