Salary Rate: $5 - $6 USD per hour (40hrs per week)

The Demand Writer will work directly with the Personal Injury Department, as well as interact with other departments (i.e. Employment Law, Workers’ Compensation, Administration, and Intake), as assigned. The Demand Writer will possess a high attention to detail, have the ability to multitask and prioritize, and excel under pressure. In addition, the Demand Writer may be tasked with special projects on an as needed basis requiring direction and guidance by Management and/or other Team Leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Pre-Law, or a related field
- Proven experience as a legal writer, demand writer, or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of legal principles, including personal injury and property damage laws.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with demand letter formats, legal terminology, and citation styles.
- Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Own Laptop or Desktop (8GB RAM, Core i5 or above) and with an internet connection of at least 10mbps
- Willing to work on Pacific Standard Time (PST) schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Draft clear, concise, and grammatically correct demand letters that convey complex legal concepts in a manner easily understood by recipients.
- Organize and present evidence, medical records, witness statements, and other supporting documentation in a compelling manner to strengthen the client's claim.
- Utilize legal terminology and citation formats appropriately, maintaining accuracy and consistency throughout the demand letter.
- Review and revise demand letters based on feedback from attorneys and clients, ensuring that the final version accurately reflects their input.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management and/or Team Leaders.
- Other duties may be assigned.
