Talent Acquisition & Development Manager

Role Expectations

The Talent Acquisition & Development Manager will design and implement new recruiting, sourcing, and retention strategies for our company, in addition to managing the entire candidate experience. We’re looking for someone to help build a strong employer brand within the education industry in order to attract and retain high-performing talent. The Talent Acquisition & Development Manager will also play a key role in managing employee performance and development. This role has a high potential for future growth and development opportunities!


Role Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in HR (preferably 3+ in Talent Acquisition)
  • Background Check: Demonstration of a clear state and federal criminal history

Role Responsibilities

  • Create new talent pipelines to enhance candidate pools
  • Implement the organization's new competency model and align all applicable materials, processes and procedures
  • Maintain current talent pipelines and decrease the average time to fill
  • Lead all sourcing strategies and create/manage new external talent acquisition partnerships
  • Implement online and offline employer branding activities
  • Ensure compliance with state/federal laws regarding compensation, benefits, timekeeping, pay transparency, and more
  • Heavy HRIS usage (with embedded ATS)
  • Manage an annual recruitment budget
  • Oversee all stages of the candidate experience (including job postings, interviews, communication, offers, hiring, onboarding)
  • Participate in and host recruitment events to drive awareness of our company
  • Develop a network of potential future hires through previous applicants, referrals, and the establishment of partnerships with external organizations
  • Maintain recruitment metrics goals
  • Assist with employee development, performance management, offboarding, and other general HR functions
  • Collaboration with all organizational departments to establish and meet hiring & development goals

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years in talent acquisition, preferably with experience recruiting in the education or edtech industries
  • Demonstrable experience managing full-cycle recruiting and employer branding initiatives
  • Solid understanding of sourcing techniques and tools (e.g. social networks)
  • General HR knowledge (SHRM-CP certification is a big plus!)
  • Extensive experience with Talent Acquisition strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Extensive familiarity with ATS and HRIS. (Experience with BambooHR is a big plus!)
  • Self-starter who will take initiative, think outside the box, and effectively collaborate at all levels
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects/timelines/goals
  • Commitment to excellence and confidentiality
  • Highly proficient and comfortable with technology (Google, ATS/HRIS, Payroll, etc.)
  • Prefer candidates that have experience with BambooHR, Trax, and EASE
