Reporting to the Security and Intelligence Manager, the position of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Coordinator will be responsible for overall management of the Port Phillip Prison CCTV and Body Worn Camera systems. The CCTV Coordinator will ensure footage is collected, stored, audited and disseminated to internal and external stakeholders.
The core responsibilities of this role are to:
- Conduct regular CCTV and Body Worn Camera (BWC) footage audits and report findings to senior management.
- Conduct testing of the Body Worn Cameras, and reporting of any technical issues that may arise.
- Downloading and storing CCTV and BWCs footage as per contractual requirements
- Manage captured data through control and archiving systems (Axon) to store and recall footage for authorised parties when requested
- Facilitate the viewing of CCTV and BWC for management, as part of the incident investigation
- Implement/Manage data control and archiving, which will complement the development and implementation of leading edge technology, policies and procedure
We're looking for individuals who possess a number of work experiences, skills and motivators:
- Working knowledge of CCTV and Body Worn Camera systems
- Comprehension of data into accurate report writing (statistics, targets etc.)
- Knowledge and proven application of compliance and legislative procedures
- Ability to work confidently and with integrity, around sensitive material
- Strong written and verbal communication, working with various stakeholders across all level of the business and external agency
- Previous experience in a correctional environment is desirable
